A PFI panel corrects the plant’s power factor automatically — reducing electricity bills, releasing extra kVA from the existing connection, extending equipment life and lowering the electrical burden on cables and switchgear.
The panel is built with an incoming circuit breaker, capacitor bank, magnetic contactors, HRC fuse protection and a power factor controller relay. Typical components: capacitors from Epcos / Electrocon / Schneider, contactors from ABB / Telemecanique / LS / Hyundai, PFC relay from Mikro / Epcos / Shizuki, HRC fuse from Siemens and breakers from ABB or Hyundai.
